From Tired and Depressed to Happy and Full of Energy

This is really hard for me to share since I don’t like talking about income, but I feel like I should share it to show other moms out there what is possible in case there are other women who feel like I felt.

You see, I didn’t believe it was possible to get in shape again after having our first baby. That is me in the picture on the left. I felt tired, blah, out of energy and not like myself. I was 50 lbs. overweight and going through postpartum depression. My confidence was low, I didn’t have a lot of friends, and I wished I could feel good again. The problem was that I didn’t think it was possible to get in shape again.

I also started working again at an office just two weeks after our baby was born. I remember looking at the computer screen and crying because I just wanted to be home with our new baby. I didn’t think there was any other way. I was working full-time before she was born making about $2,500 a month, but after she was born I went down to part-time hours. I made about $1,300 a month working part-time, and at least $200 a month went towards a nanny. I loved my job because I was able to use my bachelor’s degree in public relations, but I didn’t love being away from home from our baby. I felt TRAPPED and didn’t see any other way…

Then there is me on the right. This was me after I got in shape after our second daughter was born. I lost the weight plus more and felt energetic, alive, full of energy, confident and awesome! I felt like myself again!!! I was able to lose the weight and keep it off for over 3 years until I got pregnant again.
::
The good news is that I was able to quit working from outside of our home and do something I am passionate about everyday!
::
We just had our third baby three weeks ago, and for the first time EVER I get to stay home with our girls! I work a LOT less hours now, have more flexibility, do something I love, help others daily, work with positive, motivating people, and feel like I have a purpose in my job!

We have been able to pay off debt, buy our first house in July 2015 and now for the first time, I’m not worried about paying for our bills. It’s pretty awesome to think that making one small decision to become a Beachbody Coach in Dec. 2011 could have this big of an impact on my life just over 3 1/2 years later.
::
It hasn’t been a smooth sailing ride to success, but it’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve done. It’s helped me be a better wife, mom and person. I love it.
