Questions I get About Beachbody Coaching

Last year in 2015 I walked on stage in Nashville, TN as a Premiere, Star Diamond Beachbody Coach. There were only 74 coaches who were able to do this out of the whole company.

It was pretty surreal to be one of those leaders. I am not a very outgoing person. I don’t like to be the center of attention, and I usually sit in the back of the room if we are in a public setting. So the thought of walking on stage didn’t seem like a possibility for me, but it was pretty awesome.

I started being more outgoing on social media about three years ago when I decided to create a full-time income as a Beachbody Coach. Before that I didn’t even use Facebook!

So, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what I actually do as a coach, and I thought I would post them here. These are the most common questions I get.

Do you have to be a Salesperson to be a Beachbody Coach?

No way! If you had to be a salesperson, I would have quit after the first month! I don’t like annoying salespeople who try to sell me things I don’t need so I don’t want to be one of those people! If you are a salesperson, this is NOT the job for you!

What do you actually DO as a Beachbody Coach?

It’s pretty simple. Every day, I workout for about 30 min., drink Shakeology, eat healthy, listen or read something positive or inspiring and then post about it. After that, I help other people do the same thing. It helps me live a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life, and it helps others do the same thing.

Do you need to be a health and fitness expert to be a Beachbody Coach?

Nope! We do have personal trainers, group fitness instructors, doctors, nurses, nutritionists, etc. on our team, but you don’t have to be a professional. All you need to be able to do is follow a workout calendar, simple meal plan and help others stay on track with their goals. We are all working on living healthier lives. I’m right there with you! I am a work in progress everyday!

Do you need to have business experience to be a Beachbody Coach?

Nope! I had no idea what I was doing when I started in December 2011! All you need to do is be willing to learn, and we’ll teach you the rest.

How do you find people to work with?

I find 98% of the people I work with through Facebook, Instagram or my blog. I run free health and fitness challenges every month. These are invite only challenges. People WANT to join. They are not just added to a Facebook group without their consent (that drives me crazy when people add me to groups I don’t know about!). Anyways, I offer something free to find people who want to get in shape. Then I learn about their goals, get to know them, and invite them to work with me in my Beachbody fitness challenges or to become a coach on our team. I only invite people that want to what I have to offer and could benefit from it. Not everyone is a good fit so I am selective in who I invite.

Do you have to work a lot of hours to be a successful Beachbody Coach?

When I first started, I had three part-time jobs, a four month old and a 2-year-old. I didn’t have a lot of time when I started, and I don’t have a lot of time now that I have three kids under six! It’s not about spending tons of time working, it’s about spending focused time doing things that actually grow your business. If you are just working to work, you won’t get anywhere, but if you are doing the right things in your business, you will see success without working a lot. I love that I can work part-time hours and make a full-time income.

Is Shakeology worth it?

I was super skeptical when I heard about Shakeology! I used the workouts for TWO years before I tried it. I didn’t want to try it until I became a coach because then I would get the 25% off discount. I started using Shakeology in December 2011. I lost 7 lbs. in my first month, and it was December! It’s not just for weight loss. It helps with your overall nutrition. It helped me with energy, my nails and hair were stronger, and I felt overall better. I noticed a difference in my first 30 days, and I’ve had it almost everyday since for over four years.

Can you really make a full-time income as a Beachbody Coach?

Yep! You can. It doesn’t happen overnight. This is definitely not a get rick quick scheme! It probably won’t even happen in your first year as a coach. It took me over two years to start making a good income as a coach. It takes dedication, consistency and time. If you are patient, you will see a lot of success in this business. You need to be patient with yourself because you will be a different person as you grow and learn. You need to be patient to learn what to do and how to lead a team. You also need to be patient with others. If you do that, you will be successful.
