It’s Motivation Monday! Every Monday we share a success story from someone in our communities! This story is from our GolladayFit Men’s Community. He’s been involved in our P90X groups for several months, and we’ve been very impressed with him.
If there is someone who should have excuses, Timothy would be that person. He works 12 hour shifts and is married with four kids. He’s a busy guy, but he STILL makes time for exercise! He’s awesome! He’s been so consistent with P90X. He always has a great attitude too! We’d like to congratulate him for completing SIX complete rounds of P90X and one round of P90X2!! This is his story in his own words.
Hi. I am a 52 year old father of four wonderful kids, and have been happily married since 1985. I was always in to bodybuilding. I lifted a lot of weights and ate like a pig. I looked pretty good (or so I thought). As I started getting older I started to slack off of working out.
We have a wellness nurse at work, and started wellness physicals at work. As much to my surprise my cholesterol was over 200,my blood glucose was borderline diabetic, my blood pressure was borderline high. I was 5’6 and 200 lbs thinking I was in shape.
In 2010 I bought a heavy bag and jumprope and began to workout a lot more frequently. I got my weight down to 180 lbs., but was stuck at a plateau. A little improvement at the wellness scores but still needed some improvement.
P90X Changed his Life
On Jan 6th 2011 I recieved p90x. I didn’t take before and after pics because I really wasn’t expecting to get results. Finished the first round, and my weight was down to 170 lbs., my cholesterol is good, blood pressure is great, blood glucose is great. I have done six complete rounds of p90x, 1 round of p90x plus. I started round four did about three weeks and recieved p90x2. Started that on Dec.19th.
P90x has changed my life. At 52 yrs old I am in better shape then I have ever been, feel better look better. I have more energy now then I ever have. It is my new way of life.
P90x has taught me is variety is key. I love bike riding as well as p90x.
