My Skinny New Year Came True!

Today is Weigh In Day! Every Monday is Weigh In Day for the GolladayFit Team! We take time to weigh ourselves, take our measurements and body fat and track our progress. Today was a good Weigh In Day for me!

DREAMING OF A SKINNY NEW YEAR

Believe it or not, my New Year’s Resolution was to lose weight! I started the New Year at 153 on Jan. 2, and today I weighed in at 132! I’m having a skinny new year! I was dreaming of one before the new year started, but it actually came true this time!

I wanted to be as skinny as I was in this picture that were taken in 2005 when I was doing an internship in New York City. I weighed about 135 in these pictures.

I still can’t believe I am skinnier than that! I would have never thought I could get down that low! Especially after having two babies!

WHERE I CAME FROM

It’s funny how people only remember you as you are at the moment instead of where you came from. People see me and think I’ve always been in shape. The truth is I got up to 196 lbs. with my last pregnancy and 199 lbs. with my first pregnancy!

I didn’t take pictures of my whole body six weeks before or six weeks after I had my babies because I felt awful!

This pregnant picture was taken when I was about eight months pregnant! The next one was taken about six weeks after I had our baby. It hasn’t been easy to lose the weight, but it’s been worth it!

WEIGHT LOSS TIPS

Here are my weight loss tips that I’ve learned through this process.

1- Eat five times a day. Every 2-3 hours. Also make sure to eat the right kinds of foods and get enough calories each day.

2- Find a workout program you love that you can stick with!! I did Beachbody’s workouts like Insanity, Turbo Fire and Brazil Butt Lift. I just started Les Mills PUMP today.

3- Use Shakeology. I’m not just saying this to sell it either. This stuff is awesome, and it works! I highly recommend it. I was very skeptical at first, and thought it was too expensive. I’m so glad I tried it. It has made the biggest difference in my progress!

4- Find a support team to motivate you! I’ve had the best support team to help me through this. Most people live in other states, but we all support each other in Facebook groups! It’s so fun. You wouldn’t think an online support group could help, but it does!

5- Find a coach to motivate you! If you are looking for one, I’d love to be yours! It’s free, and I’m happy to help!
