I’m excited to share my friend, Cindee’s, story with you! She is an amazing women and mother of 11. It has been so neat to watch her through her transformation. When my friend, Trisha, and I met Cindee at the beginning of 2014, she could hardly walk. She had recently had hip surgery, and was struggling to do day to day activities.

Cindee decided to try some Beachbody workouts and Shakeology to gain some mobility, lose weight and feel better. A few months later, she wasn’t just walking, she was going up stairs and dancing! She’s like a whole new person! Read her story in her own words below.

My story begins over many years. After 11 pregnancies and years of not being active physically, trying different fad diets, gaining the weight back, surgery on my hip, no strength in my hip, legs or core, and being obese by medical standards; I figured that that was as good as it got. There was no hope for me.

I was not able to do simple things; play with children or grandchildren; go on hikes; have energy enough to be involved with my family and friends. I felt left behind as my family did things together that involved physical exertion. Walking across my house left me huffing and puffing. I didn’t like going to the store to buy clothes because I couldn’t find things that I liked or even fit. I had to look past the cute things and that made me feel not-so-good about myself. Once again, I felt that there was no hope for me. Something had to change.

Beachbody Programs Helped Cindee Gain Strength in More Ways Than One

Then I connected with my free Beachbody coach and got started on my health and fitness journey. I purchased a Tai Cheng and Shakeology challenge pack. Within 8 weeks (Feb-Mar) I had gained more strength than I had had in years. I didn’t crave sugar anymore and I was eating better.

So I graduated to the 21 Day Fix program and participated in a challenge group (Apr-June) where I received support, motivation and accountability. I also continued using Shakeology which gave me added energy. I pushed past excuses and exercised every day. I now have the energy to do a 30 minute workouts. With the 21 Day Fix eating plan, I eat more veggies than I EVER did. I love eating the right foods. The 21 Day Fix portion control cups help me to see just how much food I really need to eat and what kinds of food are healthy for me.

Since July, I have been using Chalene Johnson’s PiYo workout. It has helped to define my muscles and given me strength I didn’t know I had! I didn’t know I could work up a sweat, staying in one place!

The Results are IN!

7 months into my journey, I have lost 37 lbs and a total of 32 inches. I am wearing clothes that I had put away, thinking that I would never wear them again. I feel good when I look at my reflection in the mirror. I feel more confident. I am able to sit on the floor and play with my children and grandchildren. I have been able to dance the night away and not have pain in my hip. I am feeling better than I have in YEARS! And I don’t feel left out anymore!

Now that I have worked on my health and fitness, I want to pay it forward by helping others achieve their health and fitness goals; especially older moms who don’t think they can be any better than they are right now.
