Shakeology Helped me Quit Drinking Soda
A few weekends ago, I got together with a friend that I hadn’t seen in a while. She commented on how different I looked and wanted to know what I was doing, so I thought I’d share a little bit about myself and where my journey has brought me….
I am a mother of 2 very active teenagers, who works full-time, and I’m in my mid 40s. I drink Shakeology everyday for breakfast. I haven’t had a soda since I started Shakeology, which was back in March 2013– this is huge for me as I have tried so many times in the past to give it up, and always end up right back on it. I used to come home from work completely exhausted and collapse into bed…I don’t do that any longer. I no longer feel drained all of the time.
Facing Challenges Head On
I do something to be active, at least 5 times a week, if not more. I love to walk… A LOT….. and I do it as much as I can, either on a treadmill, up the side of a mountain, thru the neighborhood, or around the building on my break time at work. I have done Turbo Fire, Les Mills Combat, and I’m now on my 6th week of T25 workouts by Beach Body. As I become older, it is becoming increasingly harder to lose and maintain a healthy weight. I make choices everyday for what I’m going to do that day to try to make not only myself healthier, but also my kids. It is a challenge that used to overwhelm me, but now I face it head on.
I am still working on my transformation, as mine has been more of an internal change than external. I am happier than I have been in a really long time, and I have met some really incredible and positive people along the way. If I can inspire my kids to lead healthier lives, and continue to meet amazing people along the way, then I feel like my journey is going to be a success.
