Cheat Days are Important
Everyone needs a cheat day once in a while. If you have cheat days you can do this for life. It becomes a life change, not just a diet.
So I had a cheat day on Monday night. My family and I went out to ice cream for Family Night. We have Family Night every Monday together. We got a banana split, and we shared it between the four of us. We have a 3 year old and a one year old. Our kids were so happy we were eating ice cream!
It was fun spending time together and enjoying ice cream together. I didn’t feel bad about it one bit because I allow myself treats every week.
Recipe for Failure
If I took away all the treats, I would fail. So I allow myself cheat days once in a while.
A few months ago, I took away sugar for four weeks. It was DEFINITELY a recipe for failure, and it ended up in failure! The end of the six weeks was Easter, and I binged. I ate jelly beans, peeps, and more sugar! Not good! Ever since then I decided to stick with allowing myself a cheat day once in a while. I’ve been doing great ever since!
