Beachbody Transformation
Kim’s Story:

This didn’t happen on its own. I worked, and worked, and WORKED some more. I had to push myself and dig deep, really deep, especially on all the days that I wanted to quit. I had to get out of my comfort zone. I made a decision to live a healthier lifestyle. I committed to a plan to serve as an example for my kids. I was driven to succeed because I was so unhappy with where I was. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still on my journey—I’m not done. Every day is about making choices and changes.

For those of you who don’t know, I made the decision a while ago to become a Beachbody Coach. Why did I make the decision??

I’m a 46 year old soccer/baseball mom of 2 really busy teenagers. My free time used to be pretty non-existent, as I was always at a soccer or baseball field for practice or games. I also work full-time in a 100% sedentary job. Being in your mid 40s and sitting for 40 hours a week is truly a “recipe for disaster”. It’s really easy to lose yourself in the day in and day out activities of life. I had lost myself in all of my responsibilities. I felt like I was not being successful in managing anything!! I also began struggling daily with hormonal changes associated with my age—-thanks to Mother Nature! Yes, it’s the big and bad dreaded word, PREMENOPAUSAL. Nothing like having an official diagnosis that you’re getting old. When it’s official, there’s no getting around it, no matter how hard you try to fight it.

A Little History

I have always been on the small side, but was ALWAYS fluffy and flabby and ALWAYS had poor eating habits. I never used to eat breakfast and would drink a majority of my calories, between regular and diet sodas and cocktails. I had started drinking soda as a teenager, and never stopped. I tried to quit drinking soda several times, and I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even completely stop when I was pregnant. When I finally stopped, a little over 2 yrs ago, I was up to at least 5 Mtn Dews a day. I was small, but there was NOTHING healthy about me. I was tired, drained and seriously unhappy.

When did it all change???—- I saw an online ad for a fitness seminar at a local beauty salon. I had always been active as a teen, thanks to my mom, and was active as a young adult, but somehow I let that all slip away. I went to the seminar and was introduced to Beachbody—the rest, as they say, is history. A few months later, in February of 2013, I quit drinking soda—I haven’t had a soda since that time, thanks to Shakeology (my daily dose of nutrition) and Beachbody. Thank you!!!!

Despite being consistent with my workouts and Shakeology, those darn hormones kicked in, and I was again feeling tired, struggling to even make it thru the days without wanting to go to bed at 4:30 pm, when I was done with work. In February of 2015, I committed to a fitness program called Insanity Max 30, and it completely changed my life. I went thru an incredible mental and physical transformation. By the end of the program, I felt stronger and my physical endurance was thru the roof. The belief I had in myself was unstoppable!!! I decided to take my life off the backburner and start living out my dreams.

My Results

Since getting started with Insanity Max 30, I have also completed something that was on my “one of these days I’ll do this” hikes to the Grand Canyon. I had been dreaming of this for 10 years. I truly believe that I was able to go the distance of 34+ miles in over 3 days, in the intense AZ heat and altitude, thanks to the training that I did with Beachbody programs. I am now stronger both mentally and physically, because I made the decision that I was ready to change.

Are you Ready for a Change?
