This is a TOUGH one! I don’t know about you, but we’ve been so bad with this lately! It’s seems like there is a reason to eat sugar everywhere!
So for one weekend avoid ALL sweets with sugar. We’re in this together!
Is Sugar Bad for You?
Yes! If your diet is high in sugar you have an increased risk to Type 2 Diabetes, elevated triglycerides, low HDL (good cholesterol level), and heart disease. Eating too much sugar has also been linked to depression, migraines, poor eyesight, autoimmune disease (arthritis, and multiple sclerosis), gout and osteoporosis. How Can you Break Your Sugar Addiction?
Week #1- Get rid of the sugar in your house! Clean out your pantry, fridge, etc. So it won’t be a temptation.
Week #2- Stock your kitchen with healthy snacks and treats.
Week #3- Avoid eating sugary foods.
Week #4- Set limits for yourself so you can do this for life! Moderation is key!! Most people can’t eliminate sugar forever. So limit yourself. Eat one or two treats per week. Set limits so you won’t feel bad if you slip. Then you’ll be able to do it forever.
