I’m still in shock right now and super hesitant to share this with you! I don’t want to come off boastful or bragging. I only want to inspire others to show them what is possible.
I got my biggest paycheck from Beachbody today! It may not be big for some of you, but it was big for me! We get paid weekly as Beachbody Coaches, and my check was $832.56 for one week!!
It’s amazing what can happen in one year! In January 2013, I made $1,540.93 in my business. This January I made $2,401.36. That’s so amazing to me!
To be completely honest, last year at this time I wasn’t fully committed to my coaching business. I got side tracked and discouraged because of some things people said to me. I let what others said pull me away from my goals and dreams.
How often does that happen to people? Probably more than we think.
Why I’m a Team Beachbody Coach
There are several reasons why I’m a Team Beachbody Coach. My reasons why have definitely grown stronger the longer I’m in this business.
I started coaching in December 2011. I had a big dream to help and inspire other moms like me to be healthy and fit. I wanted to help them realize that it IS possible to get in shape again after having kids and you CAN have energy and feel amazing again.
When I started as a coach, I still had 25-30 lbs. to lose. I wasn’t even close to my goal weight yet. I’d already lost 25 lbs. from Insanity and Shakeology when I started, but I still had a ways to go. I was nervous to coach people because I hadn’t hit my goal weight yet, but I had so much excitement and passion to help others, it didn’t even matter.
Coaching Helped me Quit my Job
When I started as a coach, I was working at an office part-time as a Marketing / Public Relations Director. I also had two freelance jobs doing public relations and marketing for different companies. I was busy with my 2 year old and 4 month old. I had a LOT on my plate! It was busy!
My first business goal was to make $1,000 a month and quit my jobs. I wanted to make enough so I didn’t have to leave my home for work. It was expensive paying daycares and nannies.
I got a $377.25 weekly pay check at the end of Feb. 2012, which just about two months after I started coaching. That helped me realize what was possible! I had my first $1,000 month in May 2012, just five months after I became a coach. I was amazed at how amazing my little business I was growing!
I quit my office job and freelance jobs in August 2012 when our family moved from Utah to Arizona. It was the strangest feeling to leave the corporate world (I was there for 8 years) and stay home with my kids while doing coaching on the side. I wasn’t used to how much free time I had!
Things Don’t Always go as Planned
We moved to Arizona so my husband could go to Arizona State University to get his MBA in Supply Chain Management. He planned to work full-time and go to school full time at night.
It was a big change for us. We left Utah pretty quickly when we found out my husband was accepted to the Arizona State University MBA program. We left our family, friends, our home, and our most of our furniture in Utah. We rented our home in Utah and moved to an apartment in Arizona that was more than double the size smaller than our home in Utah.
We thought my husband had a job when he moved here, but it turns out he didn’t. He didn’t have anything for the first two months. Then he was able to get a few things going after that, but it was significantly less than what we were used to.
Why I Wanted to Grow my Business
Long story short, our situation really pushed me to grow my business. I think I would have been OK to make $1,000 a month as a coach and stay home with my kids. It was great. I was doing something I loved, helping others and staying motivated personally with my health and fitness goals.
When things got really hard financially with our family, it pushed me further. It’s amazing how things happen for a reason.
I would have never thought I’d be running a business from home coaching people with their health and fitness goals, but now I can’t see myself doing anything else.
Coaching has Changed my Life
It may sound cheesy, but coaching has literally changed my life in so many ways. I’m so grateful to be a coach. I’m so GLAD I didn’t let what people thought or said get to me so that I would quit.
Just to list a few reasons why I love being a coach:
– I get to inspire and motivate other people to live healthier, happier lives
– I get to see people change from the inside out
– I have met some of my best friends who are incredible
– I get paid to do something I love
– I get to stay home with our girls and play with them everyday!
– It motivates me to stay on track with my health & fitness goals (I’m definitely a work in progress!)
– I get to use all of Beachbody workouts and supplements for free (since I earn them with my business)
– Basically I get paid to motivate people and be in the best shape of my life!
